Pinpointing Visual Voice On Mobile a Priority as Instagram’s Ad Program Expands
Along with the news of social media ‘buy buttons’, both Pinterest and Instagram are expanding their advertising and ecommerce options for brands looking to connect and convert customers through visual content. Valerie Davis adds, “Pinterest users may be more receptive to ads, as one might say they’re further through the ‘purchase journey’ than Instagram users are – meaning they’re feeling inspired to the point of wanting to make an actual purchase.” Both platforms will allow retailers to begin to monetize their social efforts, something that’s been more challenging in the past.

Mobilegeddon: Big in Scale, Not Necessarily in Impact
When Google first announced the “mobile-friendly” update that was launched on April 21st, marketers and SEO strategists whipped themselves into a frenzy for what seemed to be good reason. While the sky may not have fallen on April 21st, there is something to be said about the update: the fear generated around mobilegeddon drove the market to become more dedicated to delivering the great user experiences that mobile users want and deserve.
