A day of hitting the malls during all hours of the morning has transformed into a day of shopping online from the comforts of home. Ecommerce sales dominated Black Friday 2015, reflecting a significant shift in consumer mindset when it comes to holiday shopping behavior. PM Digital paid search clients averaged a 25% year-over-year growth in sales, with mobile conversion rates increasing at staggering rates. Due to last year’s Thanksgiving Day blitz, retailers were also prepped and ready for high volume traffic throughout the whole weekend.

Cyber Bowl 2015: In It to Win It!

Total Cyber Monday sales were at an all-time high this holiday season, reaching just over $3 billion, and reflecting a 16% year-over-year increase from 2014. Cyber Monday at PM Digital generated some impressive wins this year, including a 28% increase in revenue. Google Taps Into Text Subscription Ads for Holiday Deals

As marketers continue to approach mobile with an ‘all-in’ mentality, it appears that Google is also taking another stake in the mobile advertising game. Via the AdWords blog, Google announced that it would be testing a new text message subscription ad for consumers looking to be up to date on holiday promotions. The program is currently in pre-alpha, with only a select group of retailers participating, but it will be interesting to see how consumers react to the option for text message alerts to access the best deals for this holiday season.
